Greetings!

Well, this week seems to have a military theme!  Not only is it the fourth Wednesday, which means it's Operation: HumpDay and our giveaway this week will be care packages to troops overseas!  Also, we got our first thank-you note from a solider

Broomed1
who received one of our packages from last month.  Here it is:

"Hello my name is Paul Clemens and I received a care package from you all. Just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means a lot to us over here. Getting mail is the high of the day, My squad also would like to say thanks too.. It means a lot to us..words cannot describe how it makes us feel. once again thank you for your prayers and support.. God bless you all."  No, God bless you, Paul.  And thanks for your service.

In keeping with the theme that seems to be developing here, I thought it would be funny to share something I found titled, Combat for Dummies.  Hilarious!
  • "Aim towards the enemy." - Instruction printed on U.S. Rocket Launcher
  • "When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend."  - U.S. Marine Corps
  • "Cluster bombing from B-52s is very, very accurate. The bombs are guaranteed to always hit the ground." - USAF Ammo Troop
  • "Try to look unimportant; the enemy may be low on ammo." - Infantry Journal
  • "Five-second fuses only last three seconds." -Infantry Journal
  • "If your attack is going too well, you're walking into an ambush."  - Infantry Journal
  • "Never tell the platoon sergeant you have nothing to do."  - Unknown Marine Recruit (please note this is also true of mothers, wives, professors, and bosses.  Anyone, really, who can tell you what to do!).
  • "Don't draw fire; it irritates the people around you."
     -Infantry Journal
  • "It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed."  - U.S. Air Force manual
And the all-time funniest one ever,
  • "If you see a bomb technician running, try to keep up with him."  - USAF Ammo Troop
Ha!  I told you.  So darn funny!!  Okay, now to the real reason you read HumpDay...(I hope)...the product!

Interfaces Galore!

Jennifer, our resident Inside Sales guru, got a call last week from a customer who wanted to build a special GracePort.  The customer had a lot of different and unique interfaces she needed to include, and needed some help configuring the correct part number.

The customer gave Jennifer a description of what she needed, and after about 15 minutes Jennifer had her all squared away.
That is just one of the hundreds of calls we get weekly from customers like you across the globe.

What makes Grace Engineered Products different from any other company that makes PLCs is we customize - everything.  In this case, the customer needed special text on the on the DB9, DB15, and two of the RJ45s, and it was no problem at all to do that for her because our process allows us to add special text to a GracePort and include your company logo if you'd like.  And, it only takes us about 2-3 days to process your order, make your GracePort, and ship it to where ever you like.

We have more than 10,000 GracePort part numbers in our database and we add to that on a weekly basis.  It is our policy that if we don't have the component you need already in stock, we will add it to our product offer - even if it's for just one order!  Who loves you, baby?

So, here's the challenge!  Bring us your challenging, never-can-be done GracePort configurations...and remember us for the easy-to-do ones, too!  We've got your back!

Lead Time: 2-3 days (for 25 units or fewer)

HumpDay!
If you are new to HumpDay, this is the section we normally would offer our weekly giveaway.  Typically, it is some kind of trinket branded with our logo, but not this week...

Last month, 100% of readers who took our poll decided one HumpDay a month they wanted us to send care packages to our troops overseas instead of mailing out our giveaway to them.  Addresses of troops started flooding my Inbox from readers in the US and Canada.  Last month, we sent out 8 care packages to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan in honor of Memorial Day, and nothing could have felt better.  It was quite the morale booster here at Grace, and I suspect to everyone else who participated.

So, the money we normally spend buying trinkets and mailing them off will instead be used to buy items and sending them to our servicemen and women.  Hoo-rah!

Just like last time, please share our prayers and good-wishes for our troops overseas!  We will include a copy of them in each package sent.  Thanks!  Click here.
