Upcoming Senate vote: Hate crimes reporting

The Senate votes today on SB2488, the hate crimes reporting bill. Passage of this bill will mean that gender identity or expression will be included (along with race, religion, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender, disability or real or perceived housing status) in the data collected and reported by police departments on hate crimes based on prejudice. Ask your state senator to vote YES on including gender identity or expression in RI's hate crimes law! Click here to find your senator.
