War and its aftermath in the Democratic Republic of Congo have taken the lives of millions of people and hurt hundreds of thousands of women and girls through sexual violence. Rhode Island can help stop the violence by banning state government contracts with companies that purchase conflict minerals from the DRC by passing House Bill 7695. Lobby Day for Women's Health: Thursday, March 29 from 3-5pm
In legislatures across the country, women find their basic healthcare rights under attack. Join activists from all across Rhode Island to lobby in support of women's healthcare. Let's show legislators that Rhode Islanders support women! Never lobbied before? That's OK! Arrive at 3pm to get talking points, a brief training and someone to accompany you to find your legislators.
