P-WAVE INSPECTION

Pure Technologies recently teamed with Jason Consulting to perform an internal and external inspection of the Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) used in the circulating water system of the Unit 5 Possum Point Power Station, a dual fuel power generating facility operated by Dominion Power in Dumfries, Virginia. EXPANDS INTO MEXICO

Regional Manager Announced

Pure Technologies has opened an office in Guadalajara, Mexico to provide condition assessment, monitoring and engineering solutions for the Mexico water and wastewater market.

Mexico has a population of over 100 million and several water utilities rely on long, large diameter mains to provide water to this population. The pipelines are increasing in age and in need of monitoring and inspection solutions, a specialty for Pure Technologies. In addition Mexico has several cable supported bridges and complex oil pipeline infrastructure, which are also areas that Pure excels in.

Pure Technologies Performs Continous Structural Monitoring for Critical Pipe

To better manage large diameter pipelines, Pure Technologies developed its SoundPrint Acoustic Fiber Optic (AFO) technology to continuously monitor the structural condition of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) pipelines. Cooling water systems for many power plants rely on PCCP mains to transport the large volume of cooling water required by power generating facilities. CITY OF ALLENTOWN, PA

Case Study - SmartBall

The City of Allentown, Pennsylvania retained the services of Pure Technologies to perform a SmartBall survey of the Shantz's Spring Raw Water Main. The Schantz's Spring Pipeline is primarily a Cast Iron Raw Water Main with lead caulked joints that transmits partially treated water from a reservoir to a treatment plant.

ELECTROMAGNETIC ROBOTIC INSPECTION OF LARGE DIAMETER PIPE

Pure Technologies' electromagnetic Robotic P-Wave tool was specifically designed to give pipeline operators and managers detailed structural and condition assessment on prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) lines.

With the addition of remotely operated long range robotic capabilities, Pure is now able to pursue close circuit television (CCTV) and P-Wave inspections on large diameter pipe. (18" and greater). The robotic system allows Pure to perform inspections on PCCP applications that cannot be dewatered or dewatering is not a viable option. Read more
