Georgette Heyer's novel
No Wind of Blame is a wonderful example of a classic British country house mystery. Written in 1939, it features the superlatively analytical Inspector Hemingway who is confronted by a seemingly impossible murder - no one was near the murder weapon at the time the shot was fired. Everyone on the scene is suspicious...and then there's the blackmail plot...

Autobiography & Memoir

Wednesday, December 16th @ 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Main Library
Ever since he was young, John Robison longed to connect with other people but, by the time he was a teenager, his odd habits - blurting out non sequiturs, avoiding eye contact, dismantling radios, and digging five-foot holes - had earned him the label "social deviant." It was not until he was forty that he was diagnosed with a form of autism called Asperger's syndrome. That understanding transformed the way he saw himself and the world. A born storyteller, Robison has written a moving, darkly funny memoir,
Look Me in the Eye, about a life that has taken him from developing exploding guitars for KISS to building a family of his own.
