| New Moon of Virgo 30 August 08 |
If you've been feeling like now is the time to finally get in shape, clean up that diet and start meditating, you've likely been feeling the determination of Virgo. As an earth sign and ruler of the physical body, Virgo comes clean with her virgin like disposition to purity and cleansing. She's a convincing authority regarding taking action on those impulses to re-organize, simplify and clean up our body (earth) in preparation for the ongoing frequency upgrades of our evolving soul (consciousness).
The choice is clear, as Yoda would say, "You either do or you do not do, there is no try." This becomes a question of loyalty. When we're loyal to self care through attentiveness to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being, we can then be consistently loyal to the needs of others and to our communities. What are you loyal to?
Virgo assists us in recognizing our outward struggles as internal conflicts so we can, through awareness, transition to liberation.
- Are your words in alignment with your actions?
- Do your values & behaviors harmonize or create conflict?
- How do we recognize liberation when it arrives?
Liberation comes over time as "Aha" moments followed by a new sense of freedom. For many these moments are accompanied with humility and gratitude.

Take action...Prepare yourself for an abundant harvest on the Autumn Equinox (Sept. 20) by engaging in practices that integrate mind, body, and soul such as: yoga, tai chi, meditation or any form of movement you enjoy.
As well, treat your body to some wholesome foods by visiting your local farmers market and support the community at the same time. Most importantly, make it fun! |
