What a year this has been! Our children have grown and learned and changed in so many ways. We came together as a community to support each other during a time of grief after the loss of our beloved Gregory Hampel. We have laughed and cried together. It has been an amazing year, and on behalf of the whole staff, I want to thank all of you for all you did to make this year so special for all of us. I'd also like to thank all our incredible staff members who have gone above and beyond this year to make this one of the best years ever at Seabury. Seabury is a special place because of each and every one of you - families and colleagues who have come together to provide a safe, stimulating, nurturing, exciting place for our children to learn and grow. The love of learning grows and thrives here at Seabury - from our youngest Bear Cubs to our oldest middle school students, Seabury is a place for kids who want to know more, to dig deeper, to move more quickly, and to ask "Why?" over and over again. We are thrilled that all our staff will be returning next year, and that our middle school will open in its incredible new location. If you are downtown this summer, be sure to stop by 925 Court C and take a peek at the progress toward our opening next fall. Remodeling has begun and the space is taking shape! Finally, on a personal note, I want to thank all of you for the support you have given to me and to my family in these past weeks when I was away during my mother's illness and passing. I was reminded again how very fortunate I am to be part of this Seabury family. A huge thank you to the staff for managing things so well in my absence, and to all of the Seabury families and friends for your care and concern. It means a great deal. Have a great summer! I look forward to seeing you at Summer at Seabury starting next week! The office will be open this summer while summer camp is in session. Please feel free to stop by and say "Hi!" or call/email to let us know what your family is doing this summer. Also, if you have any questions that we have not answered, we are here to try to fix that. And, as always, if you know of anyone that has a child that would be a good Seabury student candidate, send them our way. We love to show off our school!~~Sandi |

Have a great summer! Remember to get out and enjoy your environment and to spend lots of time with your family. Read many interesting books, newspapers, periodicals or just comic books-just read! Remodeling has begun on the middle school. As mentioned by Sandi Wollum, please be sure to check out the site when you are downtown in Tacoma. The constructions will continue throughout the summer but we hope to start moving in during the month of July. We will keep you posted. ~Toby

We have had a couple of very busy last weeks. Thank you to everyone that sent in those end-of-the-year Annual Fund donations. Thank you to Cheryl Luttmer for bringing in a wonderful set of drums and cymbals AND a trumpet to add to our music ensemble of instruments. Cheryl is a former Board of Trustees president and longtime supporter of the programs at Seabury School. Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped with the field trips, Field Day, Beach Day, the PBC rummage sale, the Garden Dedication and all of the many, many tasks that you all have contributed time and talent to. though summer is here, we will still be working behind the scenes to increase enrollment and community support of Seabury. Look for us at the Tacoma Farmers' Market and the Proctor Farmers' Market. Also, we are planning to help out at several family-oriented art and music festivals by working with the children that attend by creating art magic. Get out in the community this summer and drop by if you see our banner and logo. We'd love to see you all.
Have a fun summer! See you in the fall or maybe this summer!~ Katherine
