The controversy of Bisphenol A (BPA) has been in the media for a while now; mostly associated with containers that hold foods and beverages (eg. water bottles, lining of cans, baby bottles). We recently learned that BPA is also found in thermal receipt paper and that there is reasonable concern that the chemical can easily transfer to your hand and be absorbed into your skin, possible entering your bloodstream.  BPA is an endocrine disrupting synthetic chemical that has been linked by researchers to a long list of serious health problems.

JJJ has switched to BPA free thermal paper for all of our receipts and checks.  It will cost us a little more but it is best for our employees and customers.  Our employees handle hundreds of receipts each week and maybe so do you - think about it...
