New Publication: Military Family Literature and Resource Review

Girl with toy dogThe National Center on Family Homelessness recently released Understanding the Experience of Military Families and Their Returning War Fighters: Military Literature and Resource Review.  Military families face unique stresses associated with deployment and reintegration into civilian life. This review provides a snapshot of the key issues affecting military families during and after their time of service, as well as the impact of adverse military experiences, which can lead to unemployment and homelessness.  The Walmart Foundation underwrote the work that led to the creation of the multi-side demonstration project Community Circles of Support for Veterans Families, and this literature and resource review.  Read the report.
