But first...
Here are a few basic troubleshooting tips to try before you give us a call
- Reboot the computer, printer, router, modem, whatever it is that you are having trouble with. Turn it off and turn it back on again. You can't turn it off? Just hold that power button in for about 40 seconds. It will turn off.
- Update your virus protection and run a full virus scan. If you have Avast, run a Boot Scan
- Did it find viruses? Run it again. You want to see a clean scan
- Can't boot up? Remove all sources of power from the computer. If it's a desktop, simply unplug it. If it's a laptop, unplug it and take out the battery. While there is no source of power connected to the computer, hold the power button in for 40 seconds. Plug it back it and see if it boots up.
- No internet connection? After trying to reboot everything, if all your computers are offline, call your internet service provider and make sure there isn't an outage. Have them test your line and modem before you call us.
- Can't print? Go to your Control Panel, Devices and Printers, click on your printer, delete any print jobs that are in the queue. Restart the printer and try again.
