So you are having problems with your computer ... before you call us try some of these troubleshooting tips... .
- REBOOT! This applies to the computer, the printer, the modem and the router... reboot!
- Unplug the computer (if it's a laptop, take out the battery as well) and hold the power button in for about 20 seconds.
- Is your computer slow? or is it your internet? If every computer in the house is slow on the internet, go to our website www.tmcsquared.com. click on speed test, click on Chicago, note the upload and download speeds and call your internet service provider. They will take your call much more seriously when you have this information ready for them.
- Think you have a virus? If you are one of our clients, you already have MalwareBytes on your computer. Update it and run a full scan. If it finds viruses.... RUN IT AGAIN. You want to see a clean scan. Then use your virus protection to run another full scan. Again, if it finds viruses... RUN IT AGAIN. You want to see a clean scan.
