Parental Controls 

 

• You are the most effective Parental Control. Locate your computer in a common area where it can be easily supervised. Desktop computers are preferred because the can't disapear with your child, never to be seen again.

• Windows comes with the capability to limit the ability of specific users to do things like download software or go to certain websites. It's a little awkard to use.  There are  software programs you can purchase that help you manage this more easily.

• Google has a "safe search" preference you can check. 

• Yes, there is software out there that can track and report every keystroke, email, I.M., and website visited.
