• Adware and Spyware removers are NOT Virus Protection. 
• Make sure you only have one virus protection program on your computer. Be sure to uninstall any expired or inactive virus protection programs.
• Make sure virus protection is bringing in updates on a daily basis.
• Bring in your Microsoft Updates, they help provide security for your computer.
• Avoid free downloads of games and music. If it's cool and it's free, it's probably going to cause you problems.
• We recommend Microsoft Security Essentials for virus protection on newer computers.  It's free and it's good.
• We recommend the $26 Avira anti-virus for the older slower computers. The free version is good, but has many unnecessary reminders that pop up and it does not work with Outlook.
• The longer you have a virus, the more damage it will do and the harder it will be to kill. At the first sign of a virus, run an up to date virus scan. If it doesn't help call us.
