Stay Tuned for a new, streamlined Time Well Spent Website in 2010!
Heartfelt Holiday Greetings!

So, here we are... Another year catapulting to an end, predictably accelerating from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve.

My November letter included my early advice for spending the holidays well... If you didn't catch it, you can read it by clicking here and decide for yourself whether the advice is wise or not... For more holiday, time-management tips, visit Nancy Black's Organization Plus blog. One of many experienced contacts I've made this past year, Nancy has been helping people get organized and decluttered since before "decluttered" was a part of our vernacular!

To say the least, the flurry of hectic holiday activities makes it a challenge  to consider time spent this past year and address any items left hanging over one's head. Still, that's exactly what I am going to attempt to do ~ carve out some time to finish up some key checklist items.

By reviewing the past year and tying up loose ends, I'll be preparing to begin 2010 (2010!!!) on the right track, with mindful awareness and deliberate intention for how I plan to spend my days, another year of days...

On the funding side (not my favorite topic!), as I wrap up 2009, I need to spend December bootstrapping to make ends meet. 'Tis the season to buy/sell gifts! So, to support my efforts to move Time Well Spent forward, I'd be thrilled if you consider purchasing eco-bling and eco-decor I've made "in my down-time." My eco-creations really do make great holiday gifts, if I do say so myself... Details are included below, along with my heartfelt appreciation for your support.

Here's to a well-spent and festive December and a thought-filled end to the year.

Carpe Diem ~

Shop Local ~ For Good !

Shop Local This Holiday season... Supporting local businesses is good for the economy, your fellow community and community members and the environment. What's more, it's great for your gift recipients, too. You are sure to find unique, one-of-a-kind gifts when you shop locally!

I'll be at The Ascension Church'  Holiday Shopping Event in Ipswich on Saturday (12/5) from 6-9, a great way to wrap up a day of holiday related happenings in this beautiful, historic town my family calls home. Along with my eco-friendly, repurposed creations, I'll be selling a cookbook of local recipes to support the Ipswich High Class of 2011.

I've started a blog post listing other local shopping opportunities, including a pottery sale at SAFE Studio (a wonderful local non-profit) that you can read about by going to my post. Know of an event that isn't listed but should be? Add the info as a blog post comment.

Also, I'll also be showcasing my products at a final DeClutter For Good day for the year. Read on for more on that!
Wrapping Up 2009 ~ DeClutter For GoodTM  & EcoCreations Sale

With DeClutter For Good weekends held the third weekend of each month this fall, there's plenty of wrapping up to do and I still have some deliveries to make...

So, since I'm going to be in the office anyway, I'd like to invite folks to make any last donations of books and women's business attire for this year and consider supporting my bootstrapping efforts as you tackle some holiday shopping. Multi-tasking time well spent...

Looking Ahead to DeClutter For Good 2010: January will be a winter clothing drive for kids newborn-size 18. Warm clothing needs ~ in addition to winter coats, boots and the like ~ are expected to be at an all-time high in Massachusetts. So, mark your calendars now for January 16th and encourage kids (yours or those near and dear to you) to pack a bag of donations for Cradles to Crayons over their holiday vacation.

Focusing your de-cluttering efforts on one topic at a time and contributing toward a collective drive for a worthy recipient organization is manageable, empowering and rewarding...
"Touring" Time Well Spent  ~ The Board Room/Party Place

Time Well Spent is designed as a multi-use center for collaboration and creativity, an inspiring place where our collective clutter is repurposed even as we find a renewed sense of purpose in our own lives.  It's a comprehensive and original concept, so a great deal to take in, admittedly...

In an effort to break it down and provide details a little at a time, I'm using the e-newsletter to focus on one area each month, giving a brief overview and directing readers to posts and webpages with more details.

With the holidays upon us, a time for children, the Party Place is a great focus for this month. Hold on though ~ work before play! ~ Most of the time, the Board Room will be a private meeting space for Time Well Spent members, one of many benefits of membership.  Imagine a space for meetings with clients (and potential clients) that is a giant step up from meeting at the local coffee shop, reflecting the professionalism of artists and solo-entrepreneurs members.

Daily from 3-6pm, the Board Room transforms into the Party Place, the perfect option for birthday celebrations, scouts and other children's groups looking for a fun, educational, eco-party that is sure to please parents and kids alike!  Learning how to take recycling beyond the curb, how to be a conscious consumer and eco-aware artist making a take-home creation, the Party Place takes parties light years beyond the indoor play spaces of the last century!

As always, your feedback and questions are welcomed and encouraged!
