Greetings! |
It's been a busy couple of weeks since my first email announcement and my excitement continues to grow. I'm still working through the transition from full-out brainstorming to taking action while planning. It hasn't been easy, but I am energized every time I share the details with someone. So, herein are some of the latest highlights I'm sharing with all of you on my pre-launch email list. I hope you become charged up about my new venture, too...even if you don't quite understand it!
The truth is, because my vision brings together so many business concepts, so many aspects of creativity and expression, and so many ideas about doing good for society and the environment, I know it will be difficult to grasp all at once...That's why I'm giving you the info a little at a time. One of the best things about my concept is that it will be enjoyed and appreciated and mean something different to each person that enters through the door, either for a quick purchase, to share their clutter, get involved in a repurposing activity themselves or take part in one of many worthwhile workshops or charitable donation opportunities.
For those of you who would like a preview of some of the things we'll be crafting and selling from our collective clutter and found treasures, check out the links to the left!
Read on for the latest news, and don't hesitate to contact me by replying to this email. Or, check out my blog announcement below and "visit" me there!
Until Next Time,

Great People Doing "Good" |
When it comes to tackling a big undertaking, I am a firm believer in the concept of surrounding one's self with talented and enthusiastic people. That said, actually asking for help is a skill I need to perfect. The mission-driven nature of my new business makes that challenge a little easier. I honestly believe that those interested, willing and able to get involved at different levels of active support will get so much out of the experience that it is sure to be time well spent... Here's an update:
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Because I am setting the business up legally as a non-profit, I am currently recruiting a top-notch Board of Directors. I've got some specific goals and some wonderful people in mind. In keeping with my vision, my intention is to create a board that is a benefit to all stakeholders, including the boardmembers themselves ~ Remember...WIN, WIN, WIN! You can reply to this email update if you are interested in learning more about my plans for a Board of Directors or are perhaps even interested in an opportunity to serve on the board during this important time.
BENTLEY INTERNS
I'm also in the process of selecting a group of graduate students from Bentley College, my Alma Mater, who will be helping with many of the details of my business plan as summer interns (Hey Dad, the old college education is paying back two decades later!). These "kids" are professional, enthusiastic and intelligent ~ I hope I can keep up with them!

Not Another Blog!!! |
While I hesitate to add to the cyber-clutter that is today's internet experience, I have decided it makes sense ~ for now, anyway ~ to start a blog. For one thing, this will help me to organize and provide information in bite-sized portions, so to speak. Folks can learn about the venture at their own pace and ask questions in a forum where others can learn the answers, as well.
So, if you are interested in vicariously experiencing the roller coaster ride of my entrepreneurial start-up, drop by the blog anytime! You can even get involved, if you choose, by commenting on the entries, offering a word of advice, or sharing your viewpoint.
Click here to be transported to my no-frills blog.
Thanks and Enjoy the Ride...

Updated DeClutter For Good List Online! |
Haven't started to even think about decluttering yet? That is more than quite all right! The business of "going into business" is still tying up most of my time and will be, I expect, until the end of the school year. Don't you worry ~ The clutter will wait for you - it isn't going anywhere until you move it ~ too true!
If you are really getting into the whole trash-to-treasure, repurposing game (I warn you, it is a bit addictive), let me know. I plan to enlist a few people as Treasure Hunters and Bargain Shoppers. I'd be happy to share the details early with anyone interested.
Don't Forget to set aside those most precious family artifacts,
tokens, and memorabilia for a special kick-off project.
