Greetings!

Our 29th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration is rapidly approaching, and we are standing in the need of your thoughts and prayers for great weather and a glitch-free celebration. Our hope is that the many months of planning and negotiating will culminate in an engaging six mile march and a fun five hour celebration.

This event is an important piece of a much larger year-long MLK365 strategy to focus the community on the issues and practices of fairness, equity and justice. The Celebration provides the community with a highly interactive opportunity to touch, teach and engage young people about civic engagement and character development.  We hope that you will invite your friends and family to the Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration. LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!
In Your Community: Billboards, TV & Radio
In the Streets! MLK365's Billboard Campaign Planning for the March and Celebration is always an exciting time because each year MLK365 tries to do something a little different than the year before. Last year, our MLK celebration coincided with Barack Obama's presidential inauguration.

This year, our event marketing campaign will include 32 billboards, Regional Transit bus placards, transit shelters, KCRA television ads and in-language radio promos on more than a few stations. Our event message this year is a declaration of human affirmation designed to 2010 Census @ MLK365 - Mlk365 is proud to be a part of the Complete Count Census Committeehighlight the urgency of ordinary people making positive changes in their communities: "You are the Dream, and the Dream is now."
