BEST WISHES TO ALL!

Good morning, St. Paul's!

If you hadn't realized yet, let me remind you that 2012 is a Leap Year. That's right... a whole extra day to make up for all those fractions of seconds we lost throughout the last four years. Make the most of them, everyone! It's not every day Time gives something BACK!

PS: St. Paul's has at least one "Leapling" celebrating a birthday this year!

There's a lot going on at St. Paul's... the Lenten Series is beginning, there are a variety of community events gearing up, and a few opportunities for motivated youth to make a difference - for others and themselves.

Read all about it and more in this week's issue of the St. Paul's Post!

Best to everyone,
Kelly King
Parish Administrator

Episcopal Urban Caucus Assembly 2012

The Episcopal Urban Caucus Assembly for 2012 will held in Atlanta February 29 - March 3. Headquarters for EUC 2012 will be the Holiday Inn - Capitol Ave (near Turner Field). The theme of the conference will be "Atlanta 2012: Resurging... Singing New Songs of Faith, Hope and Love". The purpose of EUC is to hold the feet of the Episcopal Church to the fire of social justice. The conference will include a keynote panel discussion, workshops and site visits. There will be opportunities to reflect on the legacy of the Civil Rights movement as we discuss current initiatives toward social justice, and how we might best support them. The EUC Members will tap into the songs of their souls and should emerge from the conference rejuvenated and ready to work for social justice.

The EUC Eucharist will take place on Thursday Evening, March 1st, at St. Paul's. The service will honor new "Saints of the EUC" which will include the Rev. Crayton Dudley. A highlight of EUC 2012 will be a Banquet & Dance at the Holiday Inn on Friday evening, March 2. Providing the music (Old School R&B) will be our very own Cookie Dean and her friends.

A number of St. Paul's members are already planning to participate in EUC 2012. Please consider joining us!

The Toddler Room and Godly Play Classes are in need of volunteers for both the 9AM and 11:15AM service!

The caretaker for the Toddler Room needs assistance with the toddlers.  This includes playing with the toddlers, helping to straighten up the room, and handing out snacks.

The Godly Play teachers an extra hand to help with the Pre-K students - assisting with setting up the room, helping out with the lessons, and taking students to the restroom.
