Good Morning, St. Paul's!
January is winding down and February is waiting in the wings. This year, the shortest month will be a little longer thanks to Leap Year, so start your February 29th planning now... there won't be another one until 2016!
In the meantime, I'm pleased to bring you another issue of The St. Paul's Post. It comes complete with a statement about statements, a directive about a directory, and a play for some playtime. Read all about it and more!!
Best to everyone,
Kelly King
Parish Administrator

TONIGHT: Town Hall Meeting @ 7PM

Communication is a two-way street and St. Paul's is taking 'er out on the open road! Please join us at the church tonight from 7:00 to 8:00 PM for a casual, open-floor discussion about... whatever! Maybe you have questions, maybe you have concerns, maybe you have constructive suggestions. Whatever it is... let's talk about it.
St. Paul's is listening... see you tonight!

Your Statements Are Served!

The Year-End Giving Statements are printed, collated, folded, stuffed, and sealed. Anyone who wants to pick up their statement in person can do so this Sunday (JAN 29), next Sunday (FEB 5) or at the office anytime in between.
On Monday, February 6, any statements that have not been picked-up will be mailed. Until then, if it's convenient, be a champ and save a stamp by picking up your Giving Statements when you're in church this week or next.
Email Kelly King for more information.

To Everyone Who Has Pledged...

Thank you.
To anyone who hasn't, please remember it isn't the size of your pledge that matters, it's the depth of your commitment.
St. Paul's is counting on each and every parishioner to pledge their support for another great year of growth, grace, and glory. Our budget revolves around your needs, and is funded by your means. Let us know what we can afford to do for you, and please... give thoughtfully, comfortably, and cheerfully!
Pledge cards are still available in the church, the administrative offices, and online.

Who's Who and What Do You Do?

St. Paul's is putting together a one-stop resource where anyone can access our catalog of committees, list of lay leaders, outline of organizations and more.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: If you are in a leadership or support position of any capacity at St. Paul's, please follow the links at the end of the article. There is an example form of what's being requested and a blank form for you to complete with your own information.
Updated annually, this new publication will tell parishioners, visitors, and the community what each committee, ministry, and organization at St. Paul's does: their mission, their make-up, and their members. You'll know what they did last year, and have a notion of where they're headed next year. And if you want to get involved (or get more information), you'll know who to contact... and how.
DEADLINE: Please complete the directory submission form and return it to Kelly King on (OR BEFORE!) February 3. With your cooperation, the new publication will be issued on February 12.
Thanks in advance for your support of this important project!
Click here for an EXAMPLE of a completed submission form.
Click here for a BLANK submission form.
Email Kelly King for more information or to submit your form.

Too Young to Read? READ THIS!

The Toddler Room at St. Paul's is now open for young children (ages 1 to 3) who are looking for a safe and enriching new hangout while your folks are at church. Make friends, play with toys, toss back a few Animal Crackers and enjoy being a toddler while your parents experience a worry-free worship service.
To participate in this important program, please arrive 15 minutes before the service starts to sign-in and to register your mom or dad for a volunteer shift on an upcoming Sunday. St. Paul's is providing one professional sitter each week and need one additional grown-up for each service. Please let your parents know we're counting on them to support the Toddler Room by volunteering their time to help out!
Be sure to please bring two extra diaper changes (if you wear them) and a covered drink. Also, if you can't have Animal Crackers please ask a parent to bring an appropriate snack for you so you don't feel left out.
Pick-up is immediately following each service. Thanks!
Email Joy Jones for more information.

Hunger Walk/Run 2012!
|
Hunger Walk 2012: Community Outreach coordinators are launching an early bird campaign to raise the most money ever for Hunger Walk (Sunday March 11). To that end, St. Paulites may begin making online donations in the "Hunger Walk" box of Access Financial Management for St. Paul's Episcopal Church today!
Please consider periodic donations so we can reach our goal; also, please forward the website address to friends and supporters for their donations. If you prefer to write a check for one of our Sunday offerings, please make it out to "St. Paul's Episcopal Church" and write "Episcopal Charities/ Hunger Walk 2012" in the memo line. For more information about Hunger Walk/Run 2012, please contact Janita Poe or Julia Wallace-Abrams.
