"...to you is born this day...a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord."                                                                                                           Luke 2.11

I hope this finds you aware of how much God loves you. And, how God reached down to us in Jesus Christ.

Maybe now all the gifts are open. Maybe now you have a moment to pause and open God's gift to you. This year I invite each of you, every family to find time to read the Christmas story together. (Just after Christmas dinner is a great time.) It's Luke 2.1-40. As you read, you will notice how God made a beautiful gift out of very ordinary ingredients: a greedy empire, poor people, a disappointed husband, a fearful young wife, a long journey and a cold city. And, how God used all of it to accomplish God's wonderful purpose, to send a real Savior into the real world.

My prayer is that your faith and the faith of your family will be increased in God as you finish reading the Christmas story this year. And, that you might say to yourself and one another, the truest meaning of Christmas, "Nothing is impossible for God."

God's light and love to you this Christmas,

Rob+
