News ways to deliver Continuing Education...
Having a Vision and looking into the future can sometimes be a little scary! Consider how we communicated 15 years ago and you begin to understand the large steps technology has taken to what is today's new media.
Part of our original Vision with CHS was (and still is) to provide complementary health therapists with ways to access continuing education both live (workshops), as well as distance learning options for those geographically disadvantaged (DVDs and Online Study Modules).
Advancements in Broadband internet recently has lead to new software and hardware products that will allow small organsaitions like CHS to produce media-rich video-streaming technology on demand like the big guys are starting to do. Video streaming is NOT waiting for a movie to download before watching it. It is more like You Tube ( www.youtube.com), where you can play a movie, fast forward and rewind. These rewind/fast forward functions are very important for educational purposes where a therapist is able to review a point multiple times, rather than starting the whole movie again!
Video-streaming comes to CHS
Later this year, we are aiming to hold a couple of event days where we will be presenting 30 minute live seminars focusing on specific conditions that are in common with the clients you see. The presenter will put forward multiple treatment protocol options. For instance, for Frozen Shoulder, the presenter will demonstrate an MET, Trigger Point and Positional Release approach. We are attempting to produce accurate reference products for the most common conditions you treat.
Naturally, we'd appreciate any suggestions from you with regard to which conditions present on a regular basis. The end result will be the possibility to produce CD-ROMs, DVDs and Online Study Modules developed with video-streaming technology.
Best wishes and stay healthy!

This Month's Business Tip
One of the most expensive myths in marketing is that lower price produces higher volume. That might be true for coal or petrol, but not for massage therapy businesses.
Lower price means, well, ask yourself: do you always eat at the lowest price restaurant? Buy the lowest price clothes? Do you drive the lowest priced car? Pricing is your best statement of value.
