| Bringing in the Autumn Equinox
Welcome to March which historically has been a Festive Month that celebrates the harvests and around Oz, it's a time of festivals in both the cities and country regions. It can also be a time where we seem to pick up colds and other conditions related to the change of seasons, so stock up your immune system, rest and stay vital.
On the other hand, I have always believed that a cold during this period is simply the body's way of adapting to seasonal change and try to simply 'ride it out'.
March is also the time for the Autumn Equinox which will be at 3.48pm (AEST) on 20 March. On this day, the Earth's poles are the same distance from the sun. The Sun rises due east, sets due wesy and reaches 52 degress above the horizon at noon. And in case I haven't bored you yet, I managed to find a cool diagram that illustrates what I just said!
On the CHS front, we have finally launched our distance learning/study modules, which can be accessed via our main website at www.comphs.com.au. We have partnered with International publisher, Elsevier to bring you study articles chosen from their range of peer-reviewed journals.
Associations have nearly finalised their assessment of Cont. Ed. points for our study modules and anyone completing a module prior to official notice from your association will be back-dated and included in your Cont. Ed. points diaries.
Best wishes and stay healthy!
