I'm writing you from a hotel in our hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, since Deanna and I, along with our two dogs, are temporarily displaced from our home, due to the substantial damage it sustained from a sewage backup during our recent mission trip to California. The mold mitigation and reconstruction could be a couple months, quite disruptive not only because of typical construction woes, but also because our ministry office is in our basement, which is completely gutted right now. Plus, we discovered a coverage limit for this specific type of occurrence. (Very common; check your homeowner's policy!) Our damages are significantly beyond this limit.
At present, we are still planning to start our rapid-fire prayerwalk through 70 regions this summer, but since our personal and missional lives are inextricably joined, we are asking for special prayer under these circumstances...
Beloved, the enemy cannot steal our joy...or our resolve. As always, we are well aware we aren't the only ones being attacked right now. Clearly, God warns us about hardships (Acts 14:22) but He also encourages us that as we endure them, we become more like Him (James 1:2-4).
By God's grace, I firmly believe we (meaning all of us, including you, all of us standing-and-walking together for repentance in unity) are on the right track.
He is risen indeed!
Thanks for your prayer and support,
