(At the close of the Veteran's Day Parade, Franklin, TN, 2011) (Please scroll down)

Deanna and I are in airports almost every week. She simply CANNOT pass a soldier in uniform without engaging them personally to thank them for their sacrifice. In fact, she's often racing to our boarding gate because she had to reach just one more...

Many of these young men and women, even some of the burliest dudes, tear up in the face of such Christ-like love and appreciation. This hero who stood next to us at today's parade was no exception.

Salt and light...it's not so complicated...just loving people in real time.

TO ALL OUR TROOPS, past and present, at home and overseas... May the peace and protection of Christ overtake you and your families. We can't thank you enough...

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends."
~ Jesus (John 15:13)

For His harvest,
Tom & Deanna

Postscripts...

1) A special family shout-out: God bless our son (Michelle's husband), Adam, serving in Afghanistan.  2) Our "Practice Prayerwalk" in Ohio was truly a breakthrough. We are undone by God's grace and favor. Thanks for praying! I'll be sharing details in the days ahead. 3) We're about to leave for South Dakota to minister to a couple gatherings of pastors...then back home for Thanksgiving. 4) BTW, Deanna didn't know I was taking these photos...she's embarrassed to be showcased this way, but I thought she was the perfect "illustrated sermon." After all, it's who she is.

THANK YOU for your tax-deductible gifts.  They are deeply appreciated!
