Welcome to Insight, formerly named Kathleen's Korner.  Why Insight? Insight has several meanings, such as:

  • the act or result of apprehending the inner nature of things or of seeing intuitively;
  • the power of acute observation and deduction, penetration, discernment, perception;
  • introspection;

Insight is also known as an "epiphany."

We recently added two new professionals to our team.  I'm very pleased to announce Dina Springstun has joined us as our Bookkeeper and Amy Ridley has joined us as a fellow property management Broker and as our Adminstrative Assistant/Maintenance Coordinator. 
 
Dina brings many years of bookkeeping experience with her in the construction and development field, most recently with Diamond Built Homes.  She has an eye for detail, a very strong work ethic and is a pretty serious soccer player here in Bend! 
 
Amy has been a Real Estate Broker in Bend for the last several years with prior experience assisting area Brokers and as the camp administrator for High Casade Snowboard Camp.  She too has a very strong work ethic, is a thorough and thoughtful organizer, and knows how to find even the most obscure item.
 
Their addition to the team has created an amazing work atmosphere that is not only very enjoyable, but also very productive.  Please welcome them aboard!

January 2009 blew into Central Oregon with hurricane force winds sweeping away all the baggage left behind from 2008.  Let's take a look at the numbers from this first quarter and see if we can find what the numbers tell us about this year.

I received the attached Vacancy Rates from the Central Oregon Rental Owner's Association.  Personally, they don't match what I'm seeing or what I'm hearing from other area property managers and brokers.  But for those who like to review them, click here.   
This Quarter has been an amazingly busy quarter and as such, I am breaking with the tradition of writing at least one long article to simply provide you statistics you can use and will send interim e-mails with breaking news or information for you from the real estate world.
