Citizen Leader Profile: Douglas Cowan, Riverton Borough Douglas came to The Citizens Campaign through our online environmental classes. Even though he is a planning professional by trade, he wanted to learn how to bring the Sustainable Jersey program to his community. With the assistance of a mentor from The Citizens Campaign (our Burlington County Chair Christine Germann) and a mentor from Sustainable Jersey, Mike Hunninghake, Douglas and a group of residents were successful in getting Riverton to register with the program and designate their Green Team. We can't wait to see what the citizens of Riverton do next! Take our Environmental Citizen Legislature Class. |
