Auxiliary Police Initiative Begun

Auxiliary Police help keep streets safeThe Citizens Campaign has started an Auxiliary Police Initiative to revive this important resource that can increase public safety services in the cities. New Jersey cities are facing a budget crisis and have experienced cuts to their police forces. Auxiliary police  provide a valuable resource to the city, when citizens volunteer to help keep the streets safe. The Citizens Campaign Chairman Harry Pozycki and Heather Taylor, liaison to the Law and Policy Task Force, are consulting with former Police Chiefs and lawyers with expertise in auxiliary police to assist cities in developing this important resource.
