Thanks to you the first-ever Jersey Call to Service Summit was a smashing success.  Our goal was to blow the doors off the Hyatt and that's just what we did. Over 1,300 citizens from all over New Jersey were in attendance-well exceeding our goal of 1,000 turnout.  Click here to read the Star Ledger article on the Summit.

What did you think of the Summit? How will you Answer the Call?

 

At the Summit you filled out the Answer the Call form, indicating how you will begin to serve in your community in a leadership position. We will be in touch with you very soon to follow-up with you and provide you with support on the Path to Service you chose.  But you don't have to wait for us.  Use the web to retake a Class, and use the Participation Guide that shows you ways to get started now.  

 
On a broader front, we need to quickly capitalize on all the excitement and media coverage from the Summit and use it to expand the Jersey Call to Service.  So I'm asking everyone to spur mini-Summits.  Here's three ways to do this:

(1)  Present our sample Call to Service Resolution (Download DIY Call to Service Guide) to your mayor or council and your town can host a Call to Service Summit for its residents. We've done this successfully and without cost in a number of towns.

(2)  Ask your church, synagogue, or non-profit to host a Call to Service Summit, and we'll provide a speaker, a class presentation and free books.

(3)  Host your own mini-Summit in your home or at your business.  If you can gather at least a dozen people, we'll do the rest.
