Lucas' responsibilities as portfolio manager with Heron Financial Group include analyzing client financial needs and risk tolerance, and devising appropriate investment strategies. Lucas was previously associated with Grandwood Securities, LLC in the investment banking group, and FairPoint Communications as a financial analyst.

Lucas holds an MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia, a Masters of Electrical Engineering from UVA, and was awarded the CFA designation in 2009.

Lucas competes in league soccer and plays tournament Scrabble at the national level.

Lucas is a 2004 graduate of the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, and also holds a Master of Electrical Engineering from UVA. Lucas was awarded the CFA designation in 2009.
