Late January/Early February Goings on at Day...
|
- Students can support the relief efforts of the American Red Cross in Haiti by bringing in any spare change and adding it to their team's collection can. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, January 27th. Questions? Contact Kathy Maher.
- Green Day (not the band!) is coming to Day on Thursday morning February 4th. Please consider helping out with an activity any time between 8 and 11:30am that day. Contact Ramona Hamblin for details. Can't make it, but want to help out? We could use several batches of cookies to thank the presenters. Contact Susan Cassidy if baking is more your thing!
- The Day staff and faculty will be doing their best to show off their basketball skills in Faculty Foul Ups on Friday afternoon February 5th, 2:45 - 3:30pm. Students make pledges in advance to guess how many baskets teachers will make and the closest guess wins a small prize. If you can help out during lunchtime between now and then -- or help out/sell pizza the afternoon of the event -- sign up here. Questions? Contact Dana Davis.
- Night of the Stars, Day's Acoustic Night, will be Tuesday night February 9th at 7:30pm in the auditorium.
- In the spirit of helping our kids go from Green Day to greener habits, Day will host an Eco Team get together on February 11 at 7:30pm in the library. In an hour you'll learn how to calculate your carbon footprint, reduce it, and include your efforts in a city-wide effort to cut back on greenhouse gases. This will be fun, easy and it will save you money. Prizes will be awarded just for showing up! Please contact Ramona Hamblin with any questions.
The school calendar now includes Day sporting events, so be sure to check it out! |

Just a few more hosts needed for Day @ Night Dinner! |
Day's 1st Annual Progressive Dinner (aka Day @ Night) is coming up on Saturday, March 6th -- and we need a few more hosts!
Do you enjoy cooking and entertaining people in your home? If so, then please consider signing up to be a host household for the Progressive Dinner. You get to decide how many folks you can seat for dinner and set your own menu -- you can even have a friend co-host with you if you'd like.
