Dear Day families,
|
Last night Principal Gina Healy sent out a Connect-Ed Message regarding the H1N1 Flu Vaccinations at Day. Connect-Ed is the communication process by which you will receive an automated telephone call, similar to the calls during snowstorms when school is cancelled.
If your family did not receive that phone call last night, please contact the school office (617-559-9100) to update your contact information on the yellow student information sheet.

H1N1 Flu Vaccination Clinic
|
The free H1N1 vaccine flu clinic is scheduled at Day tomorrow, on Wednesday, December 16th, during school hours for those children who have already signed up. If a consent form for your child has already been submitted to the school nurse, your child will be vaccinated tomorrow. Due to vaccine availability, additional consent forms cannot be accepted at this time.
The health department will be posting future opportunities to get the H1N1 vaccine on the City of Newton website and on the City of Newton flu hotline (617-796-1434). Additional questions should be directed to Gayle Larson, our School Nurse, or to the Newton health department at 617-796-1420. |

Thanking our teachers, breakfast-style
|
To show our appreciation for the staff and teachers at Day, we're organizing a continental breakfast on Friday December 18th. If you would like to help out, please contact Susan Cassidy.

Thank A Teacher
|
Some parents reported having trouble with the "Thank A Teacher" PayPal link in yesterday's email. If you're having difficulty, try going to the PTO Website and using the link there. And thank YOU!

Classroom space
|
| On December 7, by a
vote of 22-0, the Board of Aldermen approved the request to add
classroom space to our middle schools (four new modular classrooms at
Oak Hill Middle School and designs to add classrooms at Day Middle
School). Remember to thank your aldermen for their
support the next time you see them!

Warmly,
Archana, Phyllis, & Susan Day PTO Co-presidents
