Bayfield County Courtroom features advanced Audio and Video Capabilities
Bayfield County contacted Dascom during the remodeling and rebuilding of their courthouse for the integration of multimedia presentation and conferencing capabilities to their courtroom.
The state-of-the art technology courtroom, which has been referred to as "the most advanced technology courtroom in the state of Wisconsin" by one Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice, boasts two-way interactive video and audio conferencing for video arraignment.
The new technology courtroom features the following equipment:
Video system: Includes 17" flat panel display at all major stations including judge, clerk, witness, attorneys, jurors; and additional witness and counsel touch panels to annotate on and for court evidence presented. There is a 42" public display panel in the gallery of the courtroom, and all displays accept video image at the PC source/ attorney tables. The system also has an evidence cart including a document camera and DVD/VCR/Cassette combo. Both counsel tables are capable of supporting laptop computers and display to all monitors.
Audio system: Enables audio to be PA'ed and integrated into digital recording system. Integrates with telephone system to bring outside parties in via telephone line, and includes audio press feeds for media recording system and microphones at jury box to record jury comments during "voir dire". Wireless microphones were also integrated for presenters/counselors to be heard and recorded while parties are not at counsel tables.
