Dascom upgrades Northeast Nebraska Network Consortium
The Northeast Nebraska Network Consortium (NNNC) approached Dascom to upgrade their distance learning network to IP video on a short timeframe. With a period of 50 days from time of order to start of school, Dascom successfully met the needs of NNNC and installed over 300 Polycom codecs into 90 K-12 and higher education schools for the NNNC, and additionally completed five room moves and one new classroom.
With the new functionality, the NNNC, consisting of Education Service Unit (ESU) #1, 2, 7, 8 and 17, can now transport IP video over the Nebraska network for enhanced distance learning capabilities. In addition, with the installation of the Eastview Industries DL-Hub, the NNNC classrooms now have far-end control and automated room power on/off via the statewide scheduler from Renovo Software.
Now in early 2008, the network is up and running and holding several classes each day. For more information on the NNNC or upgrading to IP video, please contact Dascom sales. To get more information on the project and equipment integrated, read the full customer success story here. |
