Did you miss last year's Disability Access Conference?
Save the date this year!
The '2010 Disability Access Conference: Design for All'
is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2010
at the Ala Moana Hotel.

This annual all-day conference provides ideas and solutions for providing access. It also helps architects, engineers and project managers keep up to date with the various accessibility guidelines and technical requirements.

"Design for All" reflects designs that are inclusive and "people-centered"; they personify not just accessibility but the ability to create buildings and facilities that respect people of all ages and abilities, be they children, adults, seniors, or those with disabilities.

This year's full-day conference will feature nine, 1-1/2 hour sessions and morning keynote by the U.S. Department of Justice and a luncheon keynote address by the U.S. Access Board. New sessions will cover topics such as Medical Facilities, Retail & Restaurants.

DCAB anticipates the issuance of the 'new' ADAAG
by the end of summer, along with the
new DOJ rules for Titles I & II of the ADA.
To the extent that information is public,
the conference will highlight the changes.

We'll keep you updated when the Preliminary Conference Schedule gets posted on DCAB's website!
