2009 Accessible Design Winners

This year's 2009 Accessible Design Award's ceremony was held in conjunction with the 2009 Disability Access Conference.  Four projects were recognized in three categories: Private Design, Residential Design and Public Design.

Presenting this year's award on behalf of the Governor's Office was Mr. Russ Saito, Comptroller, State of Hawaii, Department of Accounting and General Services.  This is the third year Mr. Saito has been able to join us.  At past conferences, he has served as a keynote speaker discussing the State Building Code and the State Building Code Council and he also presented last year's Accessible Design Awards.

DCAB would like to thank Mr. Saito for taking the time to attend again this year and for his support of our Conference and Awards Program.
