In addition there will be sessions on:   · State of Hawaii Residential Housing Accessibility Guidelines · Accessible Routes · Vertical Access (Stairs, Ramps, Lifts and Elevators) · Designing for Visual and Hearing Impairment · Common Errors and Corrections Stay tuned for more information on session speakers and registration information in the upcoming additions of the Access E-Bulletin. To view the 2009 Disability Access Conference Announcement please go to DCAB's homepage:  http://hawaii.gov/health/dcab/home/index.htm 2009 Call for Nominations   The Disability and Communication Access Board (DCAB) is now seeking nominations for the 2009 "Accessible Design Awards".  Nominations may be submitted by any individual, company, business or agency from the private or public sector. The goal of the awards program is to recognize buildings, facilities, sites or design features that promote full integration, independence, equal access, or improves the quality of life for not just persons with disabilities but for all individuals throughout our state. Award recipients will be honored and recognized at the 2009 Disability Access Conference Luncheon on September 23, 2009 at the Ala Moana Hotel.  Nominations must be received by mail to the Disability and  Communication Access Board no later than Friday, May 15, 2009.
