Helicopters over our canyon tonight
Greetings!
The Watch Commander in the Hollywood LAPD office tells us that the helicopters are circling over a Hollyridge home due to the homeowner reporting that an intruder is or was inside the home. The police are looking for any sign of a perpetrator in the area. If you live on or near Hollyridge, it's best to stay inside, lock the doors and keep external lights illuminated until the helicopters leave.
This is not a danger alert, but when there are police helicopters over head, we are told by our senior lead officer, Maggie Dillard that it's always best to lock the doors, secure your residence and keep the lights on outside.
Remember to call 9-1-1 if you see anything suspicious.
