| AT&T Project Goes Forward

 AT&T will be installing a wireless internet box on the east side of Beachwood at Glen Holly. This project was planned for July but the neighbors along with the Beachwood Canyon Neighborhood Association asked for a delay until the tourist season died down. Now that summer is over, it's time for the project to go forward. We asked AT&T to start the work late and end early to minimize the impact to the neighbors. Sadly, they were not able to accommodate that request. There will be no parking in that area from the beginning of the project on Monday, October 18 at 7 a.m. until they finish their work each day by 5 p.m. With this large window of work hours, they estimate the job to be complete within 3 to 5 days.
Here's what one neighbor told me about the project:
"If you are into
tech, or work in the entertainment or online or advertising industry - heck
- anything that uses computers,
you'll be aware of the limitations of this neighborhood in regards to broadband and mobile offerings.
Our DSL speeds are lacking due to old wiring. AT&T's new online service is called
"UVerse", and its a MASSIVE speed
increase from Cable modems and AT&T DSL. It
will bring our
neighborhood into the new era of streaming video, high-speed transfers,
video chatting and video phones, etc."
Please honor the parking restrictions so the project will not be hindered in any way. We encourage neighbors to generate hospitality towards the workers while they are in our community.

Adorable Kittens in Urgent Need of Adoption

These 4 kittens are 7 Weeks old and are eating solid food. They have had
all required shots and are ready for adoption. They are very friendly even though
they were born feral.
