Tourist Vans/Buses - How Have You Been Impacted?

The Beachwood Canyon Neighborhood Association is hosting their summer meeting. This meeting is in response to the growing number of complaints related to tourist van/bus lines on our canyon streets and the tourists themselves, at times. Representatives from the City Council office, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, West Traffic Division of the L.A.P.D. and our Senior Lead Officer will be there.

Thursday, August 5th at 7:30 p.m.

Please attend and be prepared to share your concerns. Also invited are representatives from many of the major licensed tour bus companies that routinely travel our streets. We hope to have a constructive discussion.

It seems that there is some sort of rumor circulating through the neighborhood that the Beachwood DASH service was going to be terminated, effective, August 1st. 

Sharon Shapiro, our deputy representing Councilmember Tom Labonge just wrote to give us an update. She informs us that the rumors are not only unsubstantiated but more importantly, simply untrue. There will be service changes and fare increases but the bus will continue to serve Beachwood Canyon.

The only change on DASH Beachwood is that the fare is going up to $0.35, $0.15 for seniors over 65 and persons with disabilities.
