Pies For The Peak

I wanted to do my part to donate to the purchase of the land
near the Hollywood Sign. I had my check made out to the Trust for Public Land,
just as instructed. Then I learned about Pies for the Peak. So I changed my
plan a little. I will take my check for my donation and complete it in the
Village tomorrow (Saturday, March 13th) and donate - but here's the cool part:
I'll walk away with a homemade pie! Yep, I'll end up giving my small $20 to $30
donation and end up with an entire homemade pie to serve to my family!
Perfect!!!! See you tomorrow. Please bring your checkbook. If you will be
donating a pie for this event, call the number below this flyer to let the
organizer know to save a space for your pie. This neighborhood is doing so much
to preserve the hill that our Hollywood Sign sits on! Let's show up with our
checkbooks and make a small donation - and take home a pie!

Helicopters this evening - Clarification
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was dinner time tonight - around 6 p.m. and the helicopters began to gather above our neighborhood. The Fire Dispatch indicated that there was a lost hiker and resources were deployed to find this hiker. It took a while but we have been informed that the hiker was located and assisted out of Griffith Park.
