  Dear Neighbors,

Please check out the many opportunities to participate in neighborhood activities. Hope you can attend the late summer meeting of the Beachwood Canyon Neighborhood Assn and also attend the demo this weekend of the Barracade Gel product organized by the HHA. Hollywood Arts Council has an event coming up and don't miss National Night Out! At the bottom of this newsletter, see an invitation to hula hoop with friends and neighbors. Loads of fun for all!

Solar The Sign is a grass-roots project begun by a group of Los Angeles residents (not representing a special interest or sponsor) with an idea for making the Hollywood Sign a global symbol in support of solar technology. It proposes to do this without changing the iconic appearance of the Sign, disrupting the habitat, intruding on residents in nearby neighborhoods, or costing any taxpayer money. Come and hear the details!
