Lugano Project Appeal Withdrawn!

Dear Neighbors in Beachwood Canyon/Hollywoodland,
Regarding: 3314-20 N. Lugano Place (DIR-2008-3227-SPP-DRB-1A
This project was rejected by the City and the Hollywoodland Design Review Board two times for its size and violation of the Intent and Purposes of the Hollywoodland Specific Plan! So, we were shocked when the developer filed for an appeal. The date of that hearing was changed once to end up on March 24th, 2009. We now understand that the entire appeal has been withdrawn. There have been no details connected with that action but are comforted that our community leaders will not have to work to protect this neighborhood from such mansionization - at least not tomorrow.
