The Living Stones Mission Mapping
When you get to church this Sunday, you'll see the results of our next step in the Living Stones Project ... Mapping Mission Work from the Assets everyone has offered.
In total, the over 30 people that joined in the mapping, combed through the over 425 assests offered to see over 15 mission projects.
The Mapped and Suggested Projects will be displayed for the next 2 Sundays. Then on Sunday, June 28, we'll have a time to pray over and select the 3-5 projects we'll focus upon for the coming year.
We hope you'll prayerfully take a look, and see where you will share your gifts, presence, and participation. The Mission of the Church expects all of us to share in Christ's work in the world.

Empowered to Be Who are we? Are we what we do? Are we what others say about us? Are we the power we have? It often seems that way in our society. But the Spirit of Jesus given to us reveals our true spiritual identities. The Spirit reveals that we belong not to a world of success, fame, or power but to God. The world enslaves us with fear; the Spirit frees us from that slavery and restores us to the true relationship. That is what Paul means when he says: "All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons [daughters] of God, for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'" (Romans 8:15). Who are we? We are God's beloved sons and daughters!
These reflections are taken from Henri J.M. Nouwen's Bread for the Journey.
