...I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I
who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in
the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, by the faith of the Son of God' who loved me and gave himself for me.

Celebrating God's Love and Getting into God's Mission....
THIS SUNDAY! - All Saints' Sunday
don't forget to bring photos or other items of rememberance to share in worship as we celebrate the cloud of witnesses and greater communion of all God's saints with whom we share our lives of faith.

Special Vestry Formation Vestry will meet for our special formation in the Aloha Room following fellowship - 10:30am.
FORMATION Don't forget that we have several opportunities to grow in our faith, understanding, and commitment as followers of Jesus. So, take the chance to grow and allow God to shape your heart and life: Sunday School (except the first Sunday) - 9am: Bring your kid, grandkid, the neighbors kid, the kid you see at breakfast, the kid you see on the street....3 years old to middle school. Solomon's Porch - 8:30am (between a.m. worship gatherings): we begin a new series beginning to explore basics of the bible. Small Groups - Fr. Bill and Mike are happy to assist you in forming your own small group that meets your desired ways to discover the life God offers and calls us to share. Reading Lists - Can't fit Sunday mornings in? Check out suggested readings from the Parish Reading List and Bishop's Reading List.
The SWEEPS of the Spirit of God - Every Member Everyday in Every Way is to be a part of God's church on mission at St. Peter's. Live into your part of our faith by sharing in the SWEEPS mission disciplines (Service...Worship...Evangelism...Education...Parish Life... Stewardship). Come on Sunday - see and hear more about how we share in God's movement in the world.

Voting as Stewardship...
An Election Day message from Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori As Election Day approaches, I want to remind you that our democracy
gives us the opportunity to speak urgently about the many issues and
challenges confronting our nation and the world. I would encourage
every eligible voter to prayerfully consider the choices before us and
commit to using the political process to seek solutions to our
society's most intractable problems. As part of our baptismal vows we
commit "to strive for justice and peace among all people" and "respect
the dignity of every human being." As you prepare to vote, I urge you
to consider how the Reign of God - a just society - particularly as
explicated by the Hebrew prophets and by Jesus, can be made real in our
own day....read more here |
