Wilson Watt Puppy 8 Speakers

The loudspeaker practically synonymous with Wilson Audio, in
continuous production since 1988, has entered into its Series 8
iteration with its own bold proclamation: you can have beauty and
accuracy. Or more precisely, you can have the visceral and emotive
experience of live music, which is the sum of myriad cues-some
measurable, others essential to making the hairs on the back of your
neck tingle with auditory pleasure.
This magical
synergy is the sum of many details: A new tweeter (from the MAXX 2). A
new WATT enclosure constructed from an innovative combination of X
material (prized for its lack of coloration and resonance) and M
material (prized for its midrange clarity) in a sophisticated internal
bracing configuration. MAXX Series 2 crossover technology, now employed
in System 8, achieves greater top-to-bottom coherence along with
greater bass linearity, impact, and speed.
New Crossover The anti-jitter crossover technology developed for MAXX Series 2 and
Sophia Series 2 is now part of the System 8. The transition from
midrange to treble is significantly more coherent and seamless.
Transients are more clearly delineated, without audible overshoot and
grain. Bass linearity, impact, and speed increase. The System 8
achieves greater tonal beauty and superior resolution-the same apparent
paradox of the MAXX Series 2.
New Tweeter The tweeter developed for the MAXX Series 2 is now implemented in the
System 8. High frequency noise and grain are audibly reduced. The MAXX
Series 2 has been heralded as a true benchmark by many of the world's
most distinguished voices. Now the WATT/Puppy takes its place alongside
this paragon of musicality. The perception of air and extension,
combined with sweetness and listenability, far surpasses any other
comparable design on the market.

This finely engineered precision turntable offers a new listening
experience from your treasured vinyl and 78's. Massive construction,
extensional damping of major surfaces and lack of vibration from moving
parts ensure tightly controlled detailed sound and stable stereo
imaging. The Model 20/2 illustrated is equipped with the acclaimed
Series V 'the best pick-up arm in the world'.
The Model 20/2's suspension has no sonic footprint. It suspends the
sub-chassis on 32 purpose moulded 'O'-rings. The method of anchorage
allows the rings to be removed or replaced in a matter of moments.
Vertical and lateral movements of the suspension are controlled by a
large fluid damper. The design aims of the Model 20/2can be summarised thus:
Elimination of extraneous vibration effects. Orderly control of
unwanted signal vibrations. Pitch stability. Freedom from radiated
fields. Freedom from critical adjustments and setting up procedures.
Long term dependability. An all embracing list? Certainly one to which
careful attention should remedy most turntable ills! For more information Click Here |
