Final approval was received two weeks ago by BP concerning the allocation of $235,150.12 to Lafayette Parish.

Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne officially announced 3 weeks ago that he will utilize $150,000 from the state BP funding resource to assist in programming and marketing of the Grand Réveil Acadian which is scheduled for October of this year.
 
Plans continue for the Central States Chapter of the SATW annual meeting scheduled to be held in Lafayette May 18-22.

The 25th annual Festival International de Louisiane is scheduled to take place in Lafayette April 27-May 1. Available for review is billboard art and ads that have been placed in order to support Festival International. A travel writer fam, in conjunction with the Acadiana Tourism Coalition, will be in the Lafayette area during
the festival.
