Star Wars
Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
The first exhibition of its kind, Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination combines costumes and props from all six Star Wars films with interactive exhibits related to real-world technologies. Examine Luke Skywalker's original landspeeder from Star Wars: Episode IV, on public display for the first time, alongside scale models of X- and Y-wing starfighters. Then find out how things move without touching the ground in the real world, from models of flying cars to commercial space planes. Visitors meet C-3PO and R2-D2 and explore how people relate to the droids in Star Wars. The exhibition also features real-world robots that navigate and sense the world around them while communicating in increasingly sophisticated ways. In a full-size replica of the cockpit of Episode IV's Millennium Falcon, visitors experience a virtual jump to lightspeed. Narrated by Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), this multimedia presentation explores what we know about our own galaxy in a breathtaking journey to the edge of the universe. This exhibition is on view at the Lafayette Science Museum through January 17, 2011. Presented by Bose Corporation, the exhibition was developed by the Museum of Science, Boston and Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars objects in this exhibition are on loan from the Archives of Lucasfilm, Ltd. This exhibition is made possible through the cooperation of Lucasfilm Ltd. 2010 Lucasfilm Ltd. & TM. Recipe of the Month
Catfish Courtbouillion

Louisiana seafood is known around the world for taste, quality and variety. When you enjoy seafood at home or in a restaurant, chances are that it's from Louisiana. Louisiana is the number one provider of shrimp, oysters, crab, crawfish and alligator production in the U.S. and a close second in the harvest of fin fish. Chef Patrick Mould's recipe for Catfish Courtbouillion is a traditional Cajun dish that is most often prepared at home or at "the camp." This adaptation of the classic French dish is a result of the mixing of French, Italian, African and Afro-Creole cultures of South Louisiana. It can also be made with other kinds of fish and even alligator. Get the recipe here>.
