Embassy receptions...host country dinners...happy hours with training mates... discussion panels...
There are over 200 events happening in Washington, DC during the September 21-25 50th Anniversary celebration. Some are organized by the National Peace Corps Association -- the majority are planned by YOU.

You can search events by country of service or location to find ones that interest you. All of the events are color-coded based on the individuals or organization planning them.
And there's more! From Twitter to Facebook to Flickr to Ning to YouTube to a Google Map ... NPCA has the means to connect our community online and offline! |

Preparations under Way for 50th Anniversary Peace Corps Advocacy Day
Advocacy Coordinator Jonathan Pearson's office has turned into a beehive of activity!
Volunteers have been making phone calls, compiling lists, drafting materials and more -- all in preparation for the Honor the Peace Corps: 50th Anniversary Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. To date, more than 300 constituent meetings have been scheduled with lawmakers, and over 700 RPCVs will be walking the halls of Congress next week.
Can't come to Washington, D.C.? No problem. You can still help. We will simply need you to set aside five-to-ten minutes on September 22nd and commit to making a phone call or writing an email your Senators and House Rep. Your action from home will further reinforce the message our Hill advocates will be bringing to the Capitol. |

SeaVees and J.Crew honor the Peace Corps
The 09/61 Volunteer Plimsoll was inspired by the September 1961 passage of the Peace Corps Act. SeaVees celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps by recreating a style from our early sixties origin. Through an exclusive partnership with the National Peace Corps Association, SeaVees will make a donation for each pair sold to a planned Peace Corps commemorative in Washington, D.C. J.Crew has graciously agreed to match the donation amount. This new release can only be found at J.Crew and SeaVees beginning September 1, 2011. SeaVees is proud to partner with the NPCA and support the ideals of the Peace Corps. |
