NPCA Global Education has a New Look!

Back in June, NPCA revealed its brand new look, including a new logo (above), new tagline: The Next Step in Changing the World, and a completely redesigned website. Because of all these changes, we decided that Global TeachNet needed a makeover as well. While all of our publications and resources have stayed the same, many of them have been renamed and reorganized, and we've even added some new features! Here is a synopsis of what you'll see on the new site:

  • Global TeachNet has become NPCA Global Education. Accordingly, the newsletter is now the Global Education News. This GlobalEdNews e-newsletter still has the same name, but as you see, also has a new look.
  • The GlobalEd Gateway has become the Educators Toolbox. The resources previously listed on the Gateway are now organized into the following categories: Global Issues, Classroom Materials, Millennium Development Goals, Student Opportunities, and Teacher Professional Development. These sections are easily accessible from the new left-hand navigation bar.
  • We've created an Education Blog! Here's another way that you can stay up-to-date on what's happening with NPCA Global Education. The Education Blog features in-depth, personal perspectives on our global education initiatives, as well as updates on our existing resources. You can subscribe via RSS feed by clicking on the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the blog.

We encourage you to visit our website, still at www.peacecorpsconnect.org, and explore the new Global Education section, found under the "Resources" tab at the top of the homepage. While you're there, check out the many new features found throughout the site, and let us know what you think by emailing globaled@peacecorpsconnect.org.

Peace,
Anne Baker

There you will find syllabuses, slide decks, and other materials provided by the CGD's experts, several of whom are returned Peace Corps volunteers.
