Today
If ever there were a spring day so perfect, so uplifted by a warm intermittent breeze
Billy Collins
April is Poetry Month, thanks to Billy Collins. He was the first Poet Laureate that I was ever aware of and I think he did a wonderful job of making poetry more popular. I would not consider myself a huge poetry fan, though I have a few poets that I adore.
I love to learn new things, and you can try some poetry on for size HERE.
I am happy to report that our frogs are at full volume these days and in spite of all the wet weather, Spring is definitely in the air.
Farmer's Markets are going to begin soon (see the link below for a full listing) and I am excited to start my "Meet Me @ The Market" program, once again. Whenever I can make it to a market I will post my location to our home page, Twitter, and Facebook.
The first person to find me at the market wins a prize and anyone who finds me is welcome to join me as I talk with the farmers, chefs and vendors, give out recipes for their wares and just generally have a great time getting to know our local food system.
I can't wait to see you there!

An important part of our mission is helping humans live in harmony with wildlife. This includes providing information about safe and enriching ways to interact with wildlife and ways to avoid wildlife-borne diseases as well as stories about some of our recent patients.
Another way in which we fulfill our educational mission is by providing presentations. For instance, we've given presentations to classrooms, Rotary clubs, and other non-profit organizations. Learn more about our education programs or call 206.855.9057 to arrange a presentation.
You can click the link above for more info on ways to help and ways that they can help you!
