Ah Fall, my favorite time of year. This is saying something since I so LOVE where we live and the nature of our seasons.
My wish for us all this fall is that we can embrace the changes inherent in our lives (or at least go with their flow) and that we remember to come together as a community to help balance our selves.
Stress has been a big part of our days and I have come to realize that will never change. Good stress, bad stress, it's all here to stay and the only thing we can do about it is to change how we react. That means taking extra good care of our selves and each other. Getting out, communing with nature, friends & family, appreciating the quiet moments when they come and frolicking in the fun moments every chance we get.
Breathe deeply , make eye contact, really listen, ask for and accept help when you need it, eat good-whole and healthy foods, and take a walk or otherwise get some physical activity. These are all fabulous ways to connect with others and our selves.
Let's help each other to stay connected!

You may be thinking "How can I help?"
Here is one small way:
There is no delicate way to put this:
Encourage every man you love to get his prostate checked. If you are a man, please get your prostate checked.
September 19-25 is Prostate Awareness Week and we want you to be aware of your prostate and cancer risk.
Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer, and the second leading cause of cancer death, in American men.
The good news is that the relative 5-year survival rate is nearly 100% for men who get diagnosed and treated!
This year 217,730 new cases will be diagnosed.
This year 32,050 men will die from prostate cancer.
The only way to make sure the men we love are safe is to be sure they are screened!
